First locally developed generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) platform at Pakistan

Pakistani tech company Data Vault has launched the country’s first locally developed generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) platform, named #ZahanatAI, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s artificial intelligence (#AI) ecosystem.

Led by entrepreneur Mehwish Salman Ali, co-founder and CEO of Data Vault and Zahanat AI, the platform aims to tackle Pakistan’s unique challenges with culturally aware and locally relevant solutions.

Zahanat AI is a text-based generative AI model designed to facilitate human-like conversations, answer questions, and assist across various domains.

Similar to other large language models (LLMs) like #ChatGPT, #DeepSeek, and #Meta-AI, generative AI systems such as Zahanat AI can create content like text, images, audio, and video. It is trained on vast datasets to understand and generate human-like responses.

Supporting English, Urdu, and regional languages, Zahanat AI plans to further expand its linguistic capabilities. The model is built to address a wide array of topics, from healthcare and mathematics to coding and history.

What sets Zahanat AI apart is that it is both hosted and trained locally in Pakistan, enabling it to provide solutions tailored to the country’s specific needs.
